Rachel Loses Polly Lolly
Poor Rachel Stevens. Just days after her headline gig at Liverpool's Waterfront Rock event was cancelled due to poor ticket sales, word reaches us that the tiny pop beauty's modelling deal with hosiery giants Pretty Polly has come to an end.
An insider tells us: "Rachel's gorgeous but using her in the campaign didn't have the impact on sales people had hoped for. She's very petite and perhaps people don't associate her with sexy lingerie shoots."
Rachel, 26 and just 5ft 3ins, followed in the footsteps of leggier models Jemma Kidd and Tania Strecker by signing a £100,000 deal last August. Just three months later she was rumoured to have upset Pretty Polly execs by posing for a raunchy magazine shoot in a rival company's smalls.
Now her deal has been "phased out" - and we hear the firm has lined up another pop beauty to take the former S Clubber's place.
"They're really desperate to sign up Jamelia to take over from Rachel," our industry mole discloses. She's so hot at the moment, especially after her three Mobo nominations. They're in the process of thrashing out a deal but Jamelia won't put her name to just any old campaign." Reebok execs are also apparently chasing Jamelia, 23, for a deal to promote their shoes.

Stevens headlined concert pulled
Pop babe Rachel Stevens may have been voted Britain's sexiest woman but her singing abilities haven't persuaded fans to attend her latest concert, which has been cancelled.
The ex-S Club singer and former UK reality TV star Darius Danesh were headlining the Waterfront Rock event in Liverpool, England, next month, but the show has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales.
Only 500 of the 4,500 seats have been sold, however organisers are blaming the bizarre English summer which has been flitting between blazing sunshine and torrential rain in recent weeks.
An event spokesman says, "Erecting an arena and getting bums on seats when the heavens are opening is proving too difficult."
A gig insider adds, "The rain put people off, but that can't be the only reason. Perhaps the pop line-up was not that big a draw."

Tearful Tina fails her L-test
Poor Tina Barrett is staying in the L-Club for the time being.
The former S Club 7 singer took her examiner for a spin around West London yesterday in a red Vauxhall Corsa.
And she broke down in tears when they got back to base and he told her the three little words she didn't want to hear: "You've failed, love."
Don't worry Tina, the best drivers are those who have to take more than one test...

Stevens Dumped by Millionaire
British pop beauty Rachel Stevens has been ditched by her millionaire boyfriend Gavin Dein - because he was tired of playing second best to her career.
Dein, whose father is English soccer club Arsenal's vice chairman David Dein, is sick of having dates with the 26-year-old singer cancelled due to work commitments and accuses her of being obsessed with her career.
The final straw for Dein came when Stevens swapped numbers with Friends star David Schwimmer after meeting him on a flight from Marbella, Spain to London.
A source says: "Rachel kept talking about going to see him in Los Angeles so he could introduce her to people who could help her acting work.
"Going on like that about this handsome actor helped sow the seed of doubt in Gavin's mind that he was doing the right thing."
The Some Girls star is said to be upset about the split, but her spokesman says: "They were never really serious and only went out on a few dinner dates."

The single is released on August 23, timed to coincide with the band's appearance at the Reading and Leeds festivals.

Schwimmer dating Peet
Friends star David Schwimmer has shattered any hopes former S Club beauty Tina Barrett has of dating him - by turning his amorous attentions to actress Amanda Peet.
Last week it was reported the British singer was due to fly over to Los Angeles to spend quality time with the actor, but Schwimmer has since been spotted on an intimate dinner date at plush New York eaterie La Bortega with 'The Whole Ten Yards' beauty Peet.
A source says, "I'm sure Tina will be disappointed, but David has moved on."
Schwimmer and Barrett sparked up a romance after meeting at a fashion awards party in London last month, and the TV funnyman was reportedly so keen to develop their relationship, he invited her to stay with him.

Tina Rules Out S Club Reunion
Former S Club star Tina Barrett has rubbished reports the British chart-topping band will reform. The singer, 27, has dismissed stories she will reunite with bandmates Rachel Stevens, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee and Bradley McIntosh following their split in April last year.
Barrett says, "It's just not going to happen. It was good for five years. But we're not going to ruin all that by trying to re-form. We're just going to leave it the way it was and keep the good memories that we have. S Club's over. But we'll always have a big love for it."

Rachel to re-release Funky Dory
British pop babe Rachel Stevens is re-releasing her flop debut album Funky Dory - in the hope the disc will spend longer than a few weeks in the charts second time round.
The former S Club singer had a hit with her debut solo single Sweet Dreams (My LA Ex) - but her subsequent track, also called Funky Dory, and the album failed to sell well.
As Stevens prepares another assault on the charts with charity single Some Girls - which doesn't feature on her disc - her record company have decided to add Some Girls to the album and give it a new cover in the hope of boosting the dismal sales.
A music industry source says, "Rachel's been after a great song for months now and Some girls really was her last chance.
"Funky Dory did really badly and the money invested in her by Polydor and 19 Recordings was nowhere near recouped. But the response to Some Girls has been so good, that some genius has decided to put in on the old album with a new cover and re-release it."

Tina heading for LA
Actor David Schwimmer has a summer of love to look forward to this year - former S Club beauty Tina Barrett is jetting to Los Angeles to spend quality time with him.
The unlikely couple sparked up a romance after meeting at a fashion awards party in London last month, and the ex-Friends favourite is so desperate to convert their mutual affection into a full-blown relationship, he's invited her to stay with him.
Insiders tell the Daily Star Schwimmer is more focused on his personal life now the ten-year hit sitcom has wrapped.
One says, "Tina and David just clicked so well. She'll be jetting out to California in August to spend time with him. He's got plenty more leisure time on his hands now and he wants to have fun.
"Fun with a sexy girl like Tina is a bonus. And she'd be mad to ignore the career prospects a city like LA can offer."

Tina's Schwimming Lessons
Friends star David Schwimmer and S Clubber Tina Barrett have enjoyed a weekend in the sun. The 37-year-old actor was seen frolicking with sexy Tina, 27, in the pool of his Spanish villa. And when the unlikely couple weren't cooling down with a dip, David was giving her more intimate Schwimming lessons indoors!
The stars - who first met just a few weeks ago at the Glamour mag awards in London - were spotted out clubbing once. But most of the time, they stayed inside David's rented £1,000-a-night pad in exclusive Marbella.
One source in the Costa del Sol resort said: "Even though they were fairly low profile, people were quite shocked to see them together so openly." David, 37, who recently split from actress Gina Lee, is notoriously secretive. But he is clearly enjoying his freedom again now Tina is on the scene.
The romance began with a spot of flirting at the Glamour awards party before she went back to his hotel. Clearly, he made an impression because Tina decided to fly out to Spain to rekindle the romance.
As well as the pool where they took late-night dips, the villa has a private drive which makes it well secluded. So no prying eyes could see into the master bedroom with its king-size bed plus ensuite shower and Jacuzzi.
A source at the Pangea club in nearby Puerto Banus said: "Tina looked absolutely chuffed that she was on David's arm as he wasn't exactly hiding the fact they were together. Oddly, they left separately at the end of the night - but they definitely ended up back at David's villa."
After the weekend, Tina flew back to London on the Monday - leaving David to stay on partying with friends. But lovestruck Schwimmer is thought to have caught a plane to Britain the following Friday to see her again. Which should tell anyone that they must be more than just good Friends!

Rach's Seeing Double
She moaned recently that men never chat her up - but it looks like the tide has turned for Rachel Stevens.
The stunning former S Clubber is being pursued by not one but two wealthy suitors. We can reveal that the handsome fella she was canoodling with in Marbella was not her minted new love interest Gavin Dein - son of Arsenal big-wig David - but old friend Mark Silver, 31.
Despite having known each other for years, sources close to Rachel, 26, say property developer Mark's interest in her is more than platonic - and he made his move at a pal's wedding where they were seen kissing and cuddling.
"They flew to Marbella last week to attend the wedding of a mutual friend," we're told. "Mark has liked Rachel for a long time but he's only recently come out of a long-term relationship." And the Spanish sun seems to have raised the temperature between them.
"They often see each other in the UK as pals but with Rachel's hectic schedule they rarely get much quality time together."
Onlookers say the romantic atmosphere at the wedding, held at the resort's plush Hotel Guadalmina, rubbed off on them. "It was a gorgeous ceremony and there was hardly a dry eye in the house," says our spy.
After the formalities the reception kicked off - the booze was flowing and everyone was having a fantastic time." Not least Mark and Rachel. "They were both drinking and laughing a lot," we're told.
And when the naff wedding tunes got slower, so did Mark and Rachel's moves. "By about 2am everyone was half-cut and unco-ordinated. But Rachel and Mark looked very much like a couple - their hands were all over each other," our spy continues.
"Mark was holding her very close and whispering in her ear. There was a lot of nuzzling and canoodling going on." The pair stayed at the function until 5am before leaving together.
"Mark made it clear he was interested in her and hopes their closeness wasn't just a one-off," confides a pal.
But if Mark wants Rachel, he has a fight on his hands. Gavin Dein, 27, is said to be "smitten" after meeting the singer at a party a few weeks ago and they have since been on a string of dates. Rachel's pals say she is "very keen" on golden Gavin - but now she has mega-rich Mark to consider.
Decisions, decisions...

It wasn't Gavin
There are perks to being Rachel Stevens' friend. A hunky pal got to kiss the singer's knee, despite the ex-S Club star being linked with Gavin Dein, son of Arsenal chairman David.
Rachel, her mystery man and some other friends are in Marbella for a pal's wedding. And they showed just how close they were at the poolside by holding hands.
A spokesperson said the man in the yellow shorts wasn't Gavin. Whoever he was, Rachel was lapping up the sunshine before the launch of her new single, Some Girls.

Rachel's love for Arsenal's Gavin
Rachel Stevens has never looked sexier than she does soaking up the sun on a Spanish beach... and with good reason. The former S Club 7 singer is said to be radiant with happiness after finding love with a new man - a multi-millionaire who simply adores her.
Rachel, who called off her engagement to Holby City star Jeremy Edwards in January, has recently shared a string of secret dinner dates with wealthy Gavin Dein, 27, son of Arsenal boss David.
The pair only parted briefly so Rachel could enjoy a sunshine break in Marbella, where she is attending a friend's wedding. A pal said last night: "I haven't seen her look so happy in a long time. It's early days, but she and Gavin can't get enough of each other."
"He is everything she looks for in a man - intelligent, good-looking and highly successful in his own right. He is treating her like a princess and they are like a pair of love-struck teenagers."
Gavin is chief executive officer of Reward, the largest sports loyalty company in Europe. His father David, 58, is FA and Arsenal vice chairman. He's also a City commodity broker and worth an estimated £36 million.
Before falling for Gavin, Rachel was briefly linked to wealthy businessman Simon Brodin. He dumped her and then dated a 39-year-old millionairess. Since splitting from Rachel in January Jeremy has been linked to dancer Beverley Gilmour.

Tina Making Friends
Now that Friends star David Schwimmer has said goodbye to his pals, he appears to be on the look out for new ones. And it seems he has his eye on former S Club singer Tina Barrett.
After Tuesday's Glamour mag awards in London, Tina, 27, marched up to the actor - who was dumped by his girlfriend last month - and said: "I've wanted to meet you for ages." His response was a sickly: "And I've wanted to meet you for ages."
The unlikely couple chatted for half an hour, but it looked like a lost cause for Tina when David - who played Ross in the TV show - left the bash. But it seemed he simply wanted to slip into something a little more comfortable.
The 37-year-old American zoomed back to his hotel, changed into jeans and a T-shirt and stuck a cap on hoping not to be recognised. Tina, meanwhile, waited patiently at the Funky Buddha club.
"Tina was all over him in a booth. He was loving it. They left in separate cabs, but Tina was heading for the Dorchester, where David is staying" an onlooker said.

Rachel: I never get asked out
Any volunteers out there to help Rachel Stevens end her man drought? The pop crumpet - who's been single since splitting with businessman Simon Brodin in March - tells us that she's never asked out on dates.
"Nobody ever approaches me," the gorgeous 26-year-old sighed at the Glamour Women Of The Year awards. "I don't know what it is - it's hardly as if I have a big entourage around me." But the lack of man action hasn't dampened her optimism. "I know Mr Right's out there somewhere - it'll happen in the end!" Form an orderly queue.

Just called to say
I've found your phone...
She may be ex-directory, but it didn't stop a Grimsby woman getting hold of the phone of one of Britain's sexiest superstars.
Wendy Riley was even personally thanked by pop princess Rachel Stevens when she went out of her way to make sure she got her lost mobile phone back after she found it outside a London dance studio. Fortunately, everything turned out Funkydory as the 49-year-old made sure there were no security problems or leaks of celebrity gossip by contacting the former S Club 7 member's PA and handing over the most valuable of possessions.
Mrs Riley, of Church View, on the Church Meadows estate, picked up the state-of-the-art mobile phone outside Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden. She had visited the capital with soon-to-be-married daughter Alison (24), when they popped into the studio.
"Alison is a dance teacher and gym manager in Hampshire, so we went in to get a few bits and when we came out, I found it on the floor. I rang a couple of the numbers in the phone book, but they said they didn't know whose number it was, so I left it and thought the owner was bound to ring it themselves."
But the minutes ticked by and the phone still hadn't rung, so Mrs Riley tried another number.
"This time a guy answered, and said he knew whose it was. I had seen one of the text messages and I asked him if it belonged to somebody called Rachel. He said it actually belonged to Rachel Stevens. I couldn't believe it."
Mrs Riley arranged to hand the phone over to Rachel's PA, who she discovered was still at the studio. "I didn't like to just give it to her, I wanted to check it was legitimate first," said Mrs Riley. So she found Rachel's mum's number and rang it and Mrs Stevens confirmed it was genuinely Rachel's and that it could be handed over.
The PA was so grateful, she invited Mrs Riley and her daughter to Will Young's private preview for his forthcoming tour at the Forum, which they enjoyed. Afterwards, Mrs Riley received a call herself, from Rachel, who was then reunited with her phone.
She said: "Rachel was really nice and said it was nice of me to have done what I did. She said it could have been extremely difficult if it had got into the wrong hands."
Mrs Riley added: "It was a very exciting day, it really made the trip."
And son Matthew (23) was understandably jealous that his mum had been talking to the woman voted as men's magazine FHM's sexiest British female.

Rachel Hits Right Note
in Sporting Fund-raiser
Singer Rachel Stevens today promised to put her best foot forward in support of Sports Relief 2004. The former S Club star, who sings the event's charity single Some Girls, joined a host of stars to be revealed as a Sport Relief Celebrity All Star at the event's launch at the Science Museum in London. Olympic hero Sir Steve Redgrave, TV presenters Tess Daly, Gaby Logan and Gary Lineker and athlete Colin Jackson also took part.
Said Rachel: "This is really good for me to take part in and to try and get fit. Sport brings people together. It's really fun – just go out there and do it." The star said she hoped the video to the track, which she described as pop glam rock, would be fun and also encourage youngsters to take part. She added: "I think children should get outside."
This year's theme is "Go the Extra Mile" and organisers hope thousands of people will join organised events across the country on July 10 to help raise cash for the disadvantaged in the UK and abroad. The £14.4m raised in 2002 was used to support groups including street children in India and a project to promote racial harmony in south Camden, London.

The 34-year-old former Holby City star went on the pull in West End club Chinawhite - but was overheard moaning to a pal: "I'm looking for a girl but the talent's not that good."
And it wasn't only the ladies Jez had no luck with. An onlooker tells us: "Jeremy tried to get into the VIP room but the bouncers were having none of it. With his long straggly hair and scruffy clothes he certainly didn't look like a celeb."

But it makes her look little like her usual self. The Pretty Polly model, 25, told Glamour magazine: "I've got lumps I'd rather hide. I'd like my bum to be perkier – it's quite squidgy".
Former S Club star Rachel follows actress Kate Winslet, 28, and Aussie model Rachel Hunter, 34, who appeared much slimmer in recent touched-up snaps.

Tribute to Mia-Lucy
from her Star Friend
Pop star and Hollywood film actress Hannah Spearritt last night paid a moving tribute to her "dazzling friend" who lived life to the full.
Mia-Lucy Rose, 24, of Gorleston, died when she was swept away by a river in the south-east Asian country of Laos.
Last night, former S Club 7 star Hannah, 22, was still coming to terms with the death of one of her oldest friends, whom she descried as a "flash of greatness".
Hannah's mother Jenny said she was devastated after learning that Mia-Lucy had been swept away as she tried to wade across the River Mekong to reach an island last Tuesday.
She said that Hannah had grown up with Mia-Lucy, and the pair had performed together in shows organised through their local dance teacher June Glennie. They stayed in touch after Hannah shot to fame and Mia-Lucy, a media studies graduate who dreamt of becoming a filmmaker, did work experience with the band at one of their shows in Manchester.
Mrs Spearritt said she had first wanted to keep the news from Hannah, who is currently in Romania filming the horror film Seed of Chucky, but decided she should be kept informed.
"She was absolutely devastated when she found out. She really hoped they would find her alive and was clinging on to that. It was a terrible shock when we heard the news," said Mrs Spearritt.
"Mia-Lucy was a lovely person, so friendly and bubbly. The two of them were close friends and we have known the Rose family for many years. Pauline was even my bridesmaid when I got married 31 years ago."
She said the family hoped to attend Mia-Lucy's funeral once arrangements have been made. Last night, Mia-Lucy's brother Mark, 28, said the family were still organising the funeral, held up by having to translate documentation from Laos.
Hannah's thoughts about Mia:
Listening to the song Supergirl this morning it reminded me of Mia. Yes Mia. She was an absolute supergirl. She was special. The amount of life she lived in her days was extraordinary. The amount of people she moved and touched was extraordinary too. She was so alive and still is.
She was a spark, a flash of greatness. She would dazzle everyone with her energy. She knew what she wanted in life, what she wanted to achieve and my guess is she would have made it.
Looking back at our dancing days together brings happy memories. We were very young and with Mia being a year older, I looked up to her. Mia shone at dancing, always that little bit quicker than me to pick things up. Every year we did duets together at the Norfolk Festival - she was the best partner you could have. The only time we ever moaned was when Sharon our modern teacher used to come round and prod her finger into our sides if we got things wrong. Even then afterwards we would laugh.
Mia was a great friend who will be dearly missed by me and so many others. You only had to meet her once and she would make a lasting impression.
Thanks for the memories Mia. You will never be forgotten. You will always live inside of me… until we meet again.
Your loving friend, Hannah xx

Rachel's Ex-Rated Evening
It's every girl's worst nightmare – bumping into the ex while out on the pull. That's what happened to Rachel Stevens on Saturday night.
The former S Club star – voted the sexiest woman in Britain by readers of lads' mag FHM – sizzled in pink when she turned up at the Embassy club in London's West End.
Bag in hand, she confidently strode into the club looking forward to a night on the tiles. But who should bowl up minutes later – none other than old flame Jeremy Edwards, sporting a strange bouffant hairdo.
Thankfully, Rachel and Jeremy stayed on good terms after their split earlier this year. In fact, they even had a brief chat in the club before going their separate ways.
Can't help thinking it must have put the dampeners on either of them scoring, though. They both left as they arrived ... alone.

Singer's Grief for Dead Pal
Former S Club singer Hannah Spearritt has been devastated by the death of one of her oldest friends in a drowning accident.
Hannah, now starring in the new childrens' movie Agent Cody Banks 2, grew up with Mia-Lucy Rose, 24, who was swept away by a fast-flowing river while on a backpacking trip to Laos.
The pair, whose mothers were pals, played together as children in Gorleston near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. They saw each other regularly after Hannah's career took off.
Strong swimmer Mia had been trying to wade across the River Mekong to reach an island in Laos. Her parents, Jenny and Michael, both 50, flew out to launch a search, keeping Hannah, 22, informed. But media studies graduate Mia-Lucy was found dead.
Her sister Louise, 27, said: "Hannah was best friends with Mia when they were little and more recently they went out a lot together in London. She will be so upset."

NR catches up with S Club
S Club broke loads of fans' hearts when they split up in April 2003. But what are the band up to now? Newsround caught up with them at the premiere of Hannah's new.
Jo was first up. She said: "I'm just in the middle of recording my first album. It's kind of rocky, kind of Pink-ish, in a way."
Next was Rachel. She's had a couple of hits, but what's coming up now? She told us: "We're working on something now, so in the early summer I'll be working on my next single."
Paul was the first one to leave the group, to set up his own rock band. So has he got it going? He said: "It's going to take six months, maybe eight months, but there's something in the pipeline."
Tina was looking forward to getting finished. She said: "I'm in the middle of writing my album at the moment, I'm really excited."
Jon's been on the West End stage in Les Miserables. But what's next? He told us: "I finish Les Miserables in June, and then after that, who knows? I'd maybe like to do a bit of television."
Bradley seemed happy to mix it up. He said: "I've got pop songs, I've got R'n'B songs, I've got a little bit of rap as well."
But what about Hannah? How did a big Hollywood film compare to the S Club movie, Seeing Double?
She said: "There was a big budget on this one, I think that was the main difference. And also you spend a lot more time filming it. We shot Seeing Double in about three weeks."
She was looking a bit shifty though - anything to confess Hannah? About the last week of S Club?
"I had to go out to do the screen test (for Agent Cody Banks 2) and that was on the last week of S Club," she admits. "They were all saying "Hannah's ill in bed with the flu." But no, I was in LA. The kids aren't going to be happy now, are they?"

No Muniz at ACB 2 premiere
'Agent Cody Banks 2' premiered in London's Leicester Square last night (Wednesday), but there was no sign of star Frankie Muniz.
S Club's Hannah Spearritt who plays the female lead in the flick was there with loads of her ex-S Club buddies. Plenty of fans turned out to see them, but they all appeared to be S Club fans.
Hannah had been styled for the night in ringlets and a Catherine Hamnett babydoll dress.
When asked if she and Paul (also of S Club fame) were engaged, it was a big fat no. He later told us he didn't think it was really her thing, and he didn't see a need for it as 80 percent of marriages end in divorce.
Tina and Bradley told us about their solo efforts - Bradley is working on soul music, while Tina told us she was doing "something different".
Rachel Stevens was there lending her support as well - she's just been voted Britain's sexiest woman by FHM readers, and came second in the international list behind Britney Spears.
She told us she doesn't know what everyone sees in her: "It's fantastic! I read different things about being the girl next door, but it's very hard for me to answer that one. I'm very flattered, so thank you for voting everybody. It's great!" She confirmed she's working on her next single.
'Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London' is out tomorrow (Friday).

Hannah misses out
on Muniz snog
'Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London' premieres in the UK tonight (Wednesday). Former S Clubber Hannah Spearritt has a role in it and she revealed her co-star Frankie Muniz refused to snog her.
Hannah plays a secret agent in the movie, and in one scene she and Frankie were supposed to play tonsil hockey. But as Hannah told us, for some reason, Frankie just wasn't up for it.
She admitted she was a bit offended at first: "I said, 'Shall we do a kiss at the end?' and Frankie was like 'No I don't want to, don't want to' and I was like 'Thanks!'"
"They wanted the idea of doing another take of us at the end where we actually did kiss."
"But on the other hand, the idea of this one was that we were equal, working partners, and that we were secret agents, and that wasn't the main thing, the love interest. So we left that behind in the end."
Hannah is also up for another film - the fifth instalment of the horror movie 'Child's Play', all about the evil doll Chucky.

Summer Hadn't Heard of Rachel
Oh dear, while former S Clubber Rachel Stevens has been talking up her cameo in new British comedy Suzie Gold, her American co-star has admitted she hadn't a clue who the perky pop star was.
Actress Summer Phoenix plays the lead in the film and she's revealed that she didn't know anything about Rachel's other job.
"I didn't know who she was," she told Metro, adding "I felt like such a dork, and she definitely thought I was one."
Still, at least Summer did catch up with Rachel's work once she found out who she was. "I was given some videos, but only after filming. Forget Yiddish being difficult to learn. I should have brushed up on my English pop," she laughed.

Cody Banks Liked S Club
US mini spy Agent Cody Banks returns to our cinema screens today in a big-budget sequel, Destination London.
And one of the high points for us Brits is that former S Club star Hannah Spearitt has a leading role. So did pint-size star Frankie Muniz know much about her and the band?
"I did, actually. They had this show on Fox Family and I always watched it when I was younger," he explained. "When I went to London to do Malcolm [In The Middle] publicity way back when the show was starting, they were everywhere. They were huge. That's all you heard on the radio."
"I was excited to get to meet her and work with her," the young smoothie added.

Hannah Lands Chucky Role
Former S Club singer Hannah Spearritt is to star on the big screen with killer doll Chucky.
Filming for Seed Of Chucky began in Romania earlier this week, and she will play the personal assistant to the film's star Jennifer Tilly.
The film centres on Glen, the son of deadly dolls Chucky and Tiffany, who inadvertently brings them back to life. Tilly plays herself in the film-within-a-film and provides the voice for the doll Tiffany.
This will be the fifth film featuring Chucky and his companions in the Child's Play movies, with the previous four films all doing well at the box office.
Spearritt, who left British pop group S Club when they split last year, made her Hollywood debut in Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London opposite Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz.
It opened in the US last weekend and will reach the UK on 26 March.
She told the BBC: "I get killed and go up in flames - but I get stabbed in the back first."
She added that she was not keen to return to her singing career if the acting did not work out.
"I'll probably bake cakes if it all goes horribly wrong but I don't think I'll ever go back to singing. I'm really excited to see how the acting will go," she said.
Film-makers Focus International hope Seed of Chucky, which picks up the story after Bride of Chucky, will open in cinemas in time for Halloween.
Chucky creator Don Mancini will make his directorial debut on the picture.
Focus co-presidents David Linde and James Schamus said in a joint statement: "Having already achieved worldwide success and garnered millions of fans as part of S Club 7, Hannah is making the transition to acting with great charm and spark.
"Hannah will be the lone beacon of sanity as Chucky and his family - and the equally creepy Hollywood phonies - run amok."

Hannah Steers Clear of
S Club Showdown
Hannah Spearritt says there will be no solo showdown with former S Club bandmate Rachel Stevens.
The singer says she's turning her back on the pop industry and wants to be an actress instead.
She told the Daily Record: "I think Rachel has always been focused on things a little bit more.
"That is up to her. I am perfectly all right about it. I would not personally go that way because I like acting. I do not feel as if I want to go solo in the pop industry."
Speaking about the S Club split, Hannah said: "It was five years. We all felt it was the right time to finish. It was not a case of it having to feel right. It could not have carried on any more. There was nothing else to do.
"Paul left a year before, but the six of us carried on. Then we were ready to end it a year or so later. We spoke about it and it all ended fine. There was nothing planned by me afterwards."
Her relationship with Paul is still going strong. Hannah said: "We have a cosy little pad together. Paul is writing his solo album at the moment and then will get out and do some gigs."

Rachel dumped by boyfriend
Rachel Stevens has been dumped by her boyfriend after just two months.
The Sun says businessman Simon Brodin shocked the former S Club singer when he told her he was leaving her for a 39-year-old millionairess.
In January, Rachel ditched her fiance Jeremy Edwards.
A close friend of Stevens' told The Sun: "Rachel couldn't believe it when Simon said it was over. He was the first guy she'd been out with since Jeremy and really liked him. She fell for his confidence and experience and enjoyed spending time with him.
"It's a kick in the teeth that she was dumped for a woman who is 15 years older than her. Rachel normally has the upper hand over blokes so this was a shock."

Jez Good Friends?
We were told they were still good friends when they called it a day, but it seems the deal between Rachel Stevens and Jeremy Edwards is not as cosy as they'd have us believe.
The former S Club popster blanked Jeremy's birthday party on Saturday night - even though it was just around the corner from her Hampstead home and he'd personally asked her to come.
Jez, who turned 34, invited chums from his Holby City days and other mates including Vernon Kaye, Dermot O'Leary and Gary Lucy, and had gone out of his way to ask Rachel along. Even her old S Club colleagues Hannah Spearritt and Paul Cattermole managed to show up to the bash at the Wellington pub in Belsize Park.
"He hoped she'd show and was disappointed when it became clear she wasn't going to pop in," said one party goer.
"It says something that two other S Clubbers made the effort while Rachel didn't bother showing up at all."
Rachel's people confirmed she'd been asked but said: "She couldn't make it because she had another party to go to."
Jez must be thrilled to discover how far down her list he has fallen in such a short time.

Rachel's Man Hunt
Moping about as a single girl is not on the agenda for Rachel Stevens. The former S Club singer - who split from fiance Jeremy Edwards in January - is looking forward to finding a new man.
"I don't have a new boyfriend yet - I'm not that fast a worker," she told us yesterday at a screening of romantic comedy Suzie Gold, in which she appears.
But the 25-year-old singer says publicity over the split has had its advantages.
"Guys who knew I was with Jeremy have been a bit more willing to talk to me and ask me out," she said. "That can't be a bad thing. I'm looking forward to taking advantage of it and getting some dates."
Rachel, pictured hailing a taxi in Kensington, West London, yesterday, said she is enjoying her new acting career.
"I play a stroppy diva in a girlband called Take Five. I wonder why they thought of me?" she joked. "I suppose I should worry about being typecast."
Rachel hopes the movie, released on March 5, is the first of many roles. "I'd love to get in to films full time," she said.

Rachel in Club Heaven
She split with fiance Jeremy Edwards last month - but there was no way Rachel Stevens was going to miss out on a bit of romance on Valentine's Day. So the singer hooked up with a handsome stranger when she went out clubbing on Saturday night
Rachel, 25, was with a group of four friends when she turned up at fashionable London club Opium. But once inside the sexy former S Club 7 star devoted most of her time to a mystery dark-haired hunk.
One insider tells us: "Rachel and her pals got there quite late and were mingling with other people in the club. But a lot of clubbers kept going over to talk to Rachel. She was being sweet about it and trying to keep everyone happy but in the end someone from the club moved them to the VIP section so they could have more privacy.
"Everyone was having a good time but it was Rachel who seemed to be having the most fun with this other guy. He had his arm around her and they chatted intimately as though they already knew each other quite well.
"And then for the last 40 minutes or so they couldn't stop canoodling. Both were chatting to other friends but they kept taking breaks from the conversation for a bit of a smooch."
Rachel split with Jeremy for the second time last month after a three-year relationship. Rachel and the Holby City actor, who turns 32 today, originally called time on their romance - and engagement - last summer. At the time sources close to the pair claimed Rachel was fed up with his boozing, but she insisted it was the pressures of work that had caused the split.
The couple then decided to give the romance one last shot at the end of December, saying their relationship was "stronger than ever". But the rose-tinted glasses didn't stay on for long and the pair split again in January, claiming the break was amicable and that it was for good.
Last night a spokeswoman for Rachel played down her antics on Saturday night saying: "She was in Opium with a group of friends and insists she didn't snog anybody. In fact, one of her friends was Jeremy's housemate."
No wonder she's keeping schtum, then...

Rachel's 3rd single
Recently Rachel headed over to Stockholm in Sweden to reversion the album track 'Breathe In Breathe Out' for single number 3. A highly successful studio session, it saw her working with new producers Daniel Tornqvist and Ritard Lvosgren for a cooler, edgier sound.
Meanwhile, she's also been busy at work with interviews in the run-up to the BRITS (see below how you can vote for 'Sweet Dreams My LA Ex'). We'll keep you posted as to where you can catch her...

Rachel Splits with Jeremy
Former S Club star Rachel Stevens has split with fiancee Jeremy Edwards after three years together.
In a joint statement, the couple said: "Sometimes things just don't work out no matter how hard you try. We still care for each other and are great friends and although it is very sad, we know that our decision is the right one."
The split follows months of speculation after the couple spent time apart as Stevens launched her solo career last year. Stevens, 25, was pictured without her engagement ring but the pair appeared to patch up their differences.
At the time, the couple denied their rocky patch was as a result of Stevens' success as a solo artist and Edwards, 32, admitted that the break had coincided with a difficult time for him personally.
The Holby City star said in an interview that the death of co-star Laura Sadler, who fell to her death from a balcony at the tender age of 22, had affected him badly.
The couple patched up their differences but admitted their wedding plans were still on hold.
A spokeswoman for Stevens' management company, 19 management, insisted the couple had tried to "work it out" saying: "Unfortunately, despite their efforts to remain together, they have decided to end their three-year relationship."

Bardot's the way to go, Rach
Was former Holby City star Jeremy Edwards dropping a hint when he bought girlfriend Rachel Stevens' Christmas present?
Jeremy splashed out £650 on a painting of Brigitte Bardot who was a massive influence on Kylie in 2003. Ms Minogue pinched Bardot's look for a steamy photo session which helped push her album, Body Language, up the charts.
So was Jeremy suggesting ways that gorgeous Rach could boost her sales? After all, her first solo single - Sweet Dreams My LA Ex - failed to hit the top spot despite a sexy poster campaign and her debut album, Funky Dory, has all but disappeared from the charts.
The picture may also be a way of stressing the strength of their relationship, which hit the rocks in July but was fine by September.
The couple spent Christmas with Rachel's parents in London and we can reveal that she almost missed out on her prezzie - like a typical bloke, Jeremy waited until the last minute before dashing to Selfridges' gallery.
Somehow, we suspect Rach would have preferred something a bit more useful... like diamonds.

Rachel's face off
This isn't Rachel Stevens looking rough after a heavy night of partying - she just hasn't bothered with any slap.
While most of us languished in bed with a hangover, the former S Club singer popped into the Jenny Jordan salon in London's Primrose Hill for a day of pampering.
Without make-up she looked far less glam than usual. Mind you, most of us can only dream of looking this good on New Year's day.
